March 20th, 12:00-3:30pm: Spring Equinox Sacred Fire Ceremony
Join us at xʷc̓ic̓əsəm Garden for the beginning of our Sacred Fire Series as we welcome the Spring Equinox, a time of renewal and growth, and celebrate the beginning of the growing season. This gathering will provide an opportunity for reflection on Indigenous food sovereignty and land stewardship, emphasizing the wisdom of traditional practices that honour the Land.
We will strengthen our cultural connections and community ties by sharing stories and insights that celebrate our commitment to sustainable living and expressing our intentions and purpose for the season.
Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Chef Ida Baker, renowned for her culinary excellence at Salmon n’ Bannock, and Waasekom, Turtle clan Anishinaabe ceremonial helper, will join us!
